Cheers Paul. Appreciate reply, given machine haywirey! Friend of mine reckons his computer is a control freak! Aren't they all?! Good thing to be addicted to, though! Glad your feelings re last Friday match my own. And, yes, let's see where it goes. Roger was definitely interested; though, of course, we haven't discussed content and direction as yet. I'm open-minded myself; though there are things I want to do and don't want to do. I predict we will all more or less be wanting to operate within similar enough areas, though. I am a born optimist! But - better than that - I had a good feeling talking to you; same as I get from Roger. Anticipation is a place I like... Yeh, lots to talk about. That's just how I like it. Buzzing with Chris Morris, Spike, et al. Exchanges that are as enjoyable as making art. Roger is kindly picking me up on Thursday. Supposing we'll be at Shane's for 8pm, call for you thereafter... So see you then. Good luck with everything. Really enjoyed meet yesterday, and look forward to future creative collaboration. I've canvassed Roger on contributing too, as we discussed. Below is what I sent just a little earlier. No reply as yet. Let you know if and when. Hope he is up for it. As I say below, I emailed Shane about doing something sound-wise for his G.O.E.D. programme; he's up for it, saying could even be live on programme. Really good of him. Would be nice to combine these deadlines - Club Sporadic, G.O.E.D.; with the three of us putting something together. Shane says Thursday meet - his at 8pm. Hope you are free for that. Cheers, Anthony ************* Hi Roger Hope this finds you well. Met up with Paul yesterday. Really nice bloke. Lots in common. We are keen on doing something together. Hoping you are interested, too. Couple of things if you are. Firstly, Rod at Club Sporadic in Loughboro' has kindly offered gig on 25th March. Though it is relatively near time-wise, Paul and me are both keen on putting something together for that. At this stage, neither of us is sure as to precise content; as we haven't discussed that end of things. I have ideas, though; and I'm sure Paul does, also. Be nice if it was audio-visual. It would be some form of improvisation. I like the discipline of a near deadline myself; as does Paul. If we think specifically in terms of the gig, I'm sure something worthwhile could be created. Have to let Rod know shortly if on or not. Secondly, I emailed Shane re idea of my sending something to him for broadcast on his programme. He is into this; but kindly went further in saying it would be possible either to record something or play live on the programme. I like both; but I love the latter! I've done that before - long time ago, though. Shane is doing the usual Thursday meet - starting off at his at 8pm. Are you up for that? If not and you are interested in proposal let me know your availability soon as and I'll meet you for a chat; hopefully Paul can make it, too. I have a good feeling about it. Things are happening. What I get from you and Paul is you both have energy and are realistic, on the one hand, and, on the other, our mutual art/academic backgrounds mean we have lots in common and we are used to working with deadlines, realistic situations, and we consider the audience. Musically, it would form a general three-hander: roughly you in and around percussion, Paul fulfilling a keyboardist role, me playing guitaristic things/keys/laptop - all of us, equally, offering concepts and motivation. No heirarchy. Something fun and serious. Let me know as soon as possible please.
