Just to say - Thanks so much for your kind words about murmurists. I didn't realise you'd added to your review so substantively until just a little while ago. You make some excellent general points - regarding improv, its assets and limitations, and about the M1 scene, following David's astute observation. Along the way, you say some lovely things about our performance - perceptive and intelligent, but also moving. The detail is appreciated, Rod. Thanks for your engagement. The M1 idea is the kind of thing that bean-counters understand, mate. If you ever do want to try to get some funding, this is a good concept to work on. It's a good concept, too, with which to develop a kind of East Mids improv economy; bringing in those myriad improv diasporas, of Loughborough, Northampton, Harborough et al: one big ex-Roman road; a linear city; you know the way the idea can extend metaphorically, demographically, etc. I saw an exhibition at Liverpool gallery, The Bluecoat, years ago - saying the conurbation between Liverpool and Manchester, within which lies my old hometown of St. Helens, other towns like Warrington, Widnes, Runcorn, Preston, Leyland, Wigan, etc. contains a massive population, and so a lot of possibilities, but lacks the infrastructure of, say, London or Edinburgh. That's a heap of unrealised potential; a lot of alienation; a lot of tiny little clubs all saying things should be better. Terry Atkinson said the same about The Black Country. These conurbations must have similar populations to London; but look at the difference! That's why your efforts are crucial. Club Sporadic is important, mate. In that sense, what can I do to help with the May festival? Thanks again for your dedication, and saying what you said with depth and feeling. Best wishes, Anthony
