I love the way that this has a cut-up feel to it. I also like the repetition of certain words such as 'indulgence forward' - as DL said...there is a sinister edge to this. But poetic as well. With hints of more to come.

The cut-ups often afford a certain sense of distance between the two different people...makes it almost a cold interchange between them...but at the same time it is highly charged and full of tension.

Yes, cut-up for sure. Sometimes, though, cut-up can - for me at least - be a tad too abstract, haphazard, accidental; revealling nothing meaningful in terms of narrative in so being. The conceit of having two characters, one obviously male one obviously female, mitigates against this abstraction I think, I hope. It's early days with this technique for me, but I think it has legs!
