I was just about to say that this looks like Steep Hill. What a lovely post.

Glad you visited the destination poem, oddly i thought you (and a few others) might appreciate it :)

and oddly enough I thought of you straight after doing 'the idea', probably because of many of your posts seems to have 'punctuated' titles...

by the way, when was the pic taken?

I dunno, we only have the one hill in the whole of lincolnshire and now we find out norwich, which i hasten to add has an abundance of hills, is copying our only one!

outragous!

Never been to Norwich. But Lincoln is where Annie and I met.

Lincoln is full of inbred mutants.
If they had a mafia they'd be pretty lame...
Oh and still heavily influenced by the chirch, just how backwards is that!
We do have the one hill though...

On my few brief visits to Norwich and surrounds, I found it far nicer, both the feel of the place and the people.
Lincoln mutants are ignorant fuckers. I'm glad I come from the fens...

Lovely city, though.

I'm afraid in the inbred stakes a part of the town of my birth, St. Helens, is almost always top of the charts. Fucked up old Newton-le-Willows: in the Doomsday Book, ex-home of Rick Astley (sp?), posh, but with hugh estates, too. Its residents often pretend it's 'near Manchester', instead of part of the Metropolitan Borough of St. Helens. Yeah, it's near alright - 15 miles away, maybe 20. But then I know someone who likes to say Enfield is in London. Such fashion-statements.

I miss the pig wrestling, the city folk around here don't do decent sports.
Pig wrestling is why we fen folk are born with webbed toes...
better grip in the muddy pen.
