variousing

* is coming. Here at 7.45pm - then to yours straight away. No problem. So you have it, my mobile is: *.Glad my comments are on the button. Thanks for saying so; and thanks for kind words, too. Weird isn't it when one meets someone new, but who has plainly been up some of the same trees. I believe you feel as I do - that such things are emotionally powerful, without being sentimental, as well as being powerful in terms of the group-as-economy, as I termed it previously. I've always been one for the periphery - in all important respects. So, Hafler-kind is my kind. It's just about insisting upon freedom and keeping one's dignity, honour. All around are opportunities to bumb-lick or squander one's hard-won complexities. I liked Hafler's pedantry; his war against idle, wholly questions. At my best, I, too, like to discuss such things. People get pissed off, though; as they fear too much intellectual archeology. Keep it light - is the general way. I get bored in those situations; pussyfooting is not something I am good at. But I believe in manners, too; so only upset people when they plainly ask for it! I got the sense that Hafler couldn't be reduced to complient interviewee. Good for him. Play the game...? I don't fucking think so...! Willem de Ridder - no, don't think I know him. No problem re. not lending stuff out. Fully understand. Would love CDRs of stuff. Cheers. I've made you a couple of DVDs, a CD, and can lend you MD of some stuff I've made, too. I can't copy MDs as yet. I'll fish some visuals out another time, if that's OK. Best bet, if you have time, is to have a trawl through the whole blog: past months are archived in the sidebar, Sept being the first, I think. I've done everything from kind of traditional landscapes, figures, and the like, to mixed-media/mixed-message and political stuff. Most of it is here, but it's not readily-accessible; and I'd rather filter the stuff I still like and believe in before I show it to you! That said, I'm easy; as I say, it's the future that matters. Past glories and concerns are fine and I cherish them. But I like new challenges. Viva that! See you soon. Best wishes, Anthony
