Anthony Donovan is an artist, musician, composer, improviser and writer based in England. He works solo, either as Murmurists or under his own name, and is associated with projects such as Destroyevsky, Ou_pi Golgotha.undead, Spidey Agutter and the.clinamen. An ardent collaborator, he has worked with the likes of John Zorn, Jochen Arbeit, Geoff Leigh, PAS, Steve Beresford and Damo Suzuki. Donovan co-curates the respected labels Classwar Karaoke and suRRism-Phonoethics with Jaan Patterson. His interests are all either obscure or opaque, but morally authentic.

This is like a body that has been rotting for a long time and then has been discovered. I think of how eyes go black when they are rotting. And to take away someone's mouth. You can take away a mouth but not the voice. Makes me think about how our mind is very powerful. We will always have our thoughts.
The open neck is very vulnerable too. Do you think that she is waiting to have her throat cut? She seems to be enjoying it in that 'throwing the head back' way. Some find pleasure in pain. And links to the S/M idea of cutting off air and oxygen by taking away the mouth.
It does have a readymade air of threat; I chose it for that reason, and whited-out the image until certain features disappeared; the moth being the main, theme-making/suggesting thing. It's Gothic, too; which I love.
Don't get Molly and (minion) started on Gothic.
Not sure I like the idea of autoerotic strangulation ... not being a Tory MP or anything.
Good point, Anthony! There is that political connection to contend with... ! Wouldn't want anyone getting the wrong idea about my politics! ALH840001 is name given to piece of Mars rock which fell to Earth a long time ago (wholly, eh!), which, some think, brought life to our planet (ego we are all Martians). If so, from that all else follows: including sexual deviance, Tory politics, etc.
I like that technique, the way the titles are like depth-charges, waiting to explode.

still it goes on!!!! Not naught but naughty. Certainly I am dyslexic, as I've always suspected.
I've had the experience, many times recently, where a comment or post I've double-checked, appears full of errors and typos. Am I aphasic or is it a ghost in the machine, lurking to make me look an idiot? I'd say it's the Ugly Spirit.
