Now this reminds me of a post that Loki did on his blog 'An idiot's guide to dreaming' - he took images from 'Salo' and juxtaposed them with images from
Abu Graib. It was very powerful.

If you take images of power and violence and juxtapose them with art or visual imagery....it makes for a very powerful piece of art.

Impressive.

It's interesting how sex and violence collide in so many ways.

Also...the bed covers have almost turned into that silver blanket material they put over someone in shock after a disaster or emergency. Looking at it again...I find that very heartbreaking because it's almost as if someone has tried to comfort this person. It's interesting what I bring to these pictures. I'm not sure if any of what I'm saying makes sense..

Just made me think of comfort and exhaustion simultaneously.

It could be a U.S. Marine, resting after a hard days slaughter, rape and pillage, happily dreaming of Mom's apple pie.

Bodies are terrain; and of a fundamental kind, too. Bodies are what get damaged when terrain becomes an issue.
