It's the zoological thing again.
Sounds like an epic.
Brilliant, technically, too.

The jpg doesn't do justice to the actual painting. Bill was kind enough to give it to me, as a going away present. It hangs in my office, the grey room, at Cafe Abdab. It's 'Super-Realistic', oils. He's a very skilled and talent man. Makes great music too. Northampton just doesn't compare! Fuck. Homesick again.

fantastic piece of art here. a candidate for discharge maybe. as for poor old northampton...in fairness you cannot compare, unless you really hate it, to london.

I love London. Used to have 2 and 3 day visits there ever 6 weeks or so for years, whilst living up North. It's the North I miss though. The plan is move to Manchester when the kids leave school. I lived there whilst at University, early 1990s. It hasa lot of what London has, and things it doesn't have. London is the capital, and we live in a centralised country; so it's out on its own, as one would expect. In essence, though, London is a series of towns and villages. I have friends there - often they never 'go to London', just up the road, to the shops, to work, etc. Where we live in Northampton is nice. I seldom go into the town. I prefer the local village, with it's attached retail park. The village itself - Weston Favell - is authentic middle-England, and makes a nice walk to the shops etc.
