six basic old school measurements

first point
Power means obedience. The terminology itself has meaning. An extreme case, for example, would be government where personal freedom is considered as authoritarian, totalitarian. All sorts of people differ without consent. For those being governed, totalitarianism describes every aspect of behavior. In other words, power regulates consent.
second point
Contrast power from people with that of so-called government. The latter control corresponds to individual liberty as x equals x. Terms differ; but they are related in most characteristics.
third point
Power does not come from the people.
fourth point
Power is not limited to control.
fifth point
This definition may also be authoritarian because the public has to vote.
sixth point
Time does not consent to being governed.
